Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

VibeShift™ ("VibeShift," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by VibeShift LLC. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the VibeShift mobile application (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.

When you create an account, subscribe to VibeShift, or use features within the App, we may collect:

• Account information: name, email address, and password
• Profile information: display name and optional profile photo
• Journal entries: text and voice content you enter in the journaling feature
• Community content (VS3.0+ launches only): posts, comments, and reactions you submit to community features. Community is not part of the initial VS1.0 launch, so this category will not collect data until VS3.0 community features ship.
• Communication: messages or feedback you send to us directly

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we automatically collect:

• Usage data: features accessed, sessions started, content viewed, and time spent in-app
• Device information: device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information
• Log data: IP address, access times, app crashes, and performance data
• Session data: session duration, completion rates, and program progress (e.g., Frequency Charging Program phase progress, streak count)

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from third-party services you connect to the App, including:

• Apple or Google: authentication data when you use Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In
• Payment processors: subscription status and transaction confirmation (we do not store full payment card details; these are handled by Apple App Store and Google Play)
• Analytics providers: aggregated usage insights

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Process and manage your subscription, including free trial periods
• Provide, personalize, and improve the App and its features
• Track your program progress (Frequency Charging Program phases, streaks, session history)
• Store and display your journal entries (community content storage applies in VS3.0+ launches only)
• Send you service-related notifications (e.g., subscription renewal reminders)
• Respond to your support requests and inquiries
• Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the user experience
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraudulent activity
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Journal Data & Privacy

We understand that journal entries may contain highly personal and sensitive content. We treat your journal data with the highest level of care:

• Journal entries are stored in our secure database and are encrypted at rest
• Voice journal recordings are stored in private, access-controlled storage, encrypted at rest, and subject to per-recording length limits; you can delete them individually or by deleting your account
• Your journal entries are private and are not visible to other users
• We do not use the content of your journal entries to train AI models or for advertising purposes
• You may delete individual journal entries or your entire account at any time

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

5.1 Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App, including:

• Cloud hosting, database, and authentication services (Supabase) for storing your account, profile, journal entries, and session progress data securely
• Payment processing (Stripe) for Founding Member tier pre-sales and any direct-to-VibeShift transactions; Stripe handles all card data and does not share full payment card information with VibeShift
• Analytics providers (e.g., Mixpanel, PostHog) for aggregated usage insights; these receive de-identified data
• Subscription management (RevenueCat) for processing in-app purchases and managing entitlements
• Crash reporting tools (e.g., Sentry) for identifying and fixing app stability issues

These providers are contractually obligated to use your data only as necessary to provide their services and to maintain appropriate security measures.

5.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or government agency).

5.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via in-app notice or email of any such change in ownership.

5.4 With Your Consent

We may share your information with third parties when you give us explicit consent to do so.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services.

6.1 Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account). Deletion is immediate and permanent: your login, email address, name, profile photo, journal entries and voice notes, onboarding answers, and Challenge post links are erased and cannot be recovered. Any active VibeShift subscription billed through Stripe is canceled at the same time.

6.2 What Remains After Deletion

• De-identified practice records (for example, that a session was completed on a given date) are retained for aggregate statistics. After deletion these records no longer connect to you or to any identifying information.
• Payment and transaction records held by our payment processors (such as Stripe, Apple, or Google) are retained by those processors as required for financial and legal record-keeping.
• Where the law requires us to keep specific information for a longer period, we retain only what that law requires.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), available directly in the App via Settings → Delete Account, or by contacting us
• Portability: request that we provide your data in a portable format
• Opt-out of marketing: unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at the address below.
